WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE!

Welcome to my newly revamped Blog. A lot has happened since I last blogged in June and it seems like such a long time ago.

I am a wife of one husband, and a mother of 5 kids, although they don't seem like kids, they are all taller than me and and range in age from 17 -26, four boy kinds and one girl kind. At times I make a huge effort to understand them and then I get exhausted and practise putting on make-up instead, I feel I get that right sometimes!! If you don't agree, I don't need to know, thanks anyway!

The kid in the picture on the sides, thats me, I felt it necessary to let you see yourself that I had the whole fashion thing happening when I was 8, even knew how to accessorise with the clip in my hair and the peg holding my cape on, was wooden, not some plastic junk!

I have just launched a new business that I am excited about called "THIS IS WHO I AM". So I will pop over every now and then and share something funny, wise, stupid, sad and hopefully inspiring.

I want to hear from you, drop me a line, and for those who have asked me to write about something in particular, I'm getting on to it!

Many times I have been asked to start blogging so I have finally taken the plunge. My blog is going to be about everyday life and sharing the journey with you, hopefully you will be encouraged and I will learn how to do life better.

I have a busy, fun, crazy life but don't know that I would swap it in a hurry for a quiet, boring life, although every now and then would be nice.

I will be adding interesting and funny photos along the way!

Looking forward to the journey.

LIFE SUPPORT

Yesterday I got a lot of feedback from people who are struggling through their hard times and it got me thinking about our support systems and what we have in place in our lives to help us manage the more treacherous waters we can find ourselves in.

NASA often uses the phrase Environmental Control and Life Support System or the acronym ECLSS when describing their systems for its human spaceflight missions. The life support system they use may supply air, water and food, it also maintains correct body temperature, an acceptable pressure on the body and shields against harmful external influences entering your space.

Now while most of us aren't going to be astronauts in the near future, during the hard times we can feel like we are floating around on a different planet and have no idea where to turn to next and a lot of us don't have our own Life Support System in place or what that would even look like for us. What we do know is that at times we mismanage the pressure and harmful influences that enter our own space.

Like NASA, first we have to recognise that we have a need for the support, the hard times we face are different for each of us, grief, loss, trauma, crisis, they can all come in different forms, job loss, job disatisfaction, death, teenage years, sick children, unresolved issues that keep returning, we all have experienced some hard times that we needed support in.

Friends we can trust can be a great start for our personal supports, let them in to share your life, we need friends to both laugh and cry with and to make it through this season in life. I am so thankful for the friends I have surrounding me through this journey.

Have a great day, looking forward to hearing from you.
