I love Springtime, I don't know about you but it brings
a whole new way of looking at life for me, its so aptly
named because everything just seems to be springing
to life and coming alive, lambing and calving, the
blossoms blessing us with their presence as we drive
along the road.
Springtime always seems like a time of new beginnings,
I try out new recipes, I want to change my home around,
to spring clean, to connect with people more, it has a
certain hope about it, ushering in a kinder time for a
lot of us as it closes the door on a nearly forgotten
winter.
There are seasons in our life as well, I wrote about it in
a poem last year.
THE REFINING.
Like a piece of driftwood, washed up on the sand
being scorched in the summer sun,
is the battle weary man.
Beside the rotting seaweed, amid the twigs & leaves
The shipwrecked man bent over, on his knees he pleads
For the carefree days again
He wants to look inside himself to find the courage within
His strength is spent, he knows that know
Where does he begin?
Along the stormy coastline, being tossed, to and fro
You see the broken man now
He's learning to let go
Of the things that just don't matter
The things that do not last,
His mind is at rest
He's making peace with his past.
See along the breakwater, walks an upright man
He's found a safe harbour where no sediment collects
With the seagulls overhead, alongside the buds bursting
The peaceful man rejoices, no longer thirsting
Like a piece of driftwood, washed up on the sand
soaking in the summer sun
the seasons refined the man.
About Me
WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE!
Welcome to my newly revamped Blog. A lot has happened since I last blogged in June and it seems like such a long time ago.
I am a wife of one husband, and a mother of 5 kids, although they don't seem like kids, they are all taller than me and and range in age from 17 -26, four boy kinds and one girl kind. At times I make a huge effort to understand them and then I get exhausted and practise putting on make-up instead, I feel I get that right sometimes!! If you don't agree, I don't need to know, thanks anyway!
The kid in the picture on the sides, thats me, I felt it necessary to let you see yourself that I had the whole fashion thing happening when I was 8, even knew how to accessorise with the clip in my hair and the peg holding my cape on, was wooden, not some plastic junk!
I have just launched a new business that I am excited about called "THIS IS WHO I AM". So I will pop over every now and then and share something funny, wise, stupid, sad and hopefully inspiring.
I want to hear from you, drop me a line, and for those who have asked me to write about something in particular, I'm getting on to it!
Many times I have been asked to start blogging so I have finally taken the plunge. My blog is going to be about everyday life and sharing the journey with you, hopefully you will be encouraged and I will learn how to do life better.
I have a busy, fun, crazy life but don't know that I would swap it in a hurry for a quiet, boring life, although every now and then would be nice.
I will be adding interesting and funny photos along the way!

Looking forward to the journey.

As poetic as it sounds, yet refining time can be painful. Only resilient people will pass the test.
