Some days I'm tempted to ask God "What were you
thinking, when you gave me kids?" I mean, they're
not like puppies that you can put a collar on and take
to dog obedience school, and you can't surrender them
to the RSPCA for stealing your shoes, but there would
have been many opportunities for that, I regularly
hear my husband complaining that someone has
used all his razors, his socks, his deodorant, and on
occasion his car oil and petrol, on the other hand, I
often hear the boys yell out , "Where is Dads new
hiding place for the deodorant?" to which one or two
of the other boys reply, "It's in his first hiding place",
haha, Its a regular event and one of those times that
I am thankful that I have boys and not girls taking
my things!
But really, What was God thinking?, Did He want me
to be forever wondering if I was doing it right, even
getting one thing right!! Did He want me to face the
amazing selfishness that was hidden in my heart?
Did He want me to have something to do during the
day (and the night) so I didn't get bored? Was He
playing a joke on me because at times it has been
very funny.
I'm not sure why God wanted me to have these
children but I am forever grateful that He did,
the things that I have learned have filled my heart
to overflowing and wonder at what God has in
store for me next.
