WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE!

Welcome to my newly revamped Blog. A lot has happened since I last blogged in June and it seems like such a long time ago.

I am a wife of one husband, and a mother of 5 kids, although they don't seem like kids, they are all taller than me and and range in age from 17 -26, four boy kinds and one girl kind. At times I make a huge effort to understand them and then I get exhausted and practise putting on make-up instead, I feel I get that right sometimes!! If you don't agree, I don't need to know, thanks anyway!

The kid in the picture on the sides, thats me, I felt it necessary to let you see yourself that I had the whole fashion thing happening when I was 8, even knew how to accessorise with the clip in my hair and the peg holding my cape on, was wooden, not some plastic junk!

I have just launched a new business that I am excited about called "THIS IS WHO I AM". So I will pop over every now and then and share something funny, wise, stupid, sad and hopefully inspiring.

I want to hear from you, drop me a line, and for those who have asked me to write about something in particular, I'm getting on to it!

Many times I have been asked to start blogging so I have finally taken the plunge. My blog is going to be about everyday life and sharing the journey with you, hopefully you will be encouraged and I will learn how to do life better.

I have a busy, fun, crazy life but don't know that I would swap it in a hurry for a quiet, boring life, although every now and then would be nice.

I will be adding interesting and funny photos along the way!

Looking forward to the journey.

WHAT NOW?

Time for a change? Not ready? Hate change?......

Everyday brings new changes and new challenges to our
lives and usually they are quite subtle, maybe just a
change in the weather that brings a change in the
temperature which causes us to change what we wear
and sometimes changes where we go and how we go
there. See we don't even really think about how much
changes around us until a bit more pressure is applied
and we have to stop and think about how we are going
to cope with the new changes.

Today I waved goodbye to my husband and son who are
away for the weekend with another father and son on a
hunting trip, my heart rejoices to know that we can have
the relationships that we do and that two of my favorite
men can go off and spend the weekend in this way, but
at the same time I had to address something else that
was going on in my heart, I had a momentary sense of
loss and a few tears when I remembered that when the
children were little, I always dreamed of days that I
would also go off with our daughter and do 'girl things',
and that is not to be in this lifetime.

Now normally I wouldn't share something like that but
I was thinking that this is a good place for me to come to,
that I would take that sadness out for a time and move
on and its okay.

I looked up other words for change and because of my
totally weird love of words, was pleasantly surprised to
find 104 other words to describe change, here are some
of them and what they meant to me in this situation.

Adjustment - adjusting myself to fit the current situation.
Advance - moving forward. (thats gotta be good!)
Correction - making right the situation for me.
Developing - growing stronger.
Enlargement - Whoa! I love this one.
Metamorphosis - Time to grow wings! Obviously!!!
Transform - make a thorough or dramatic change.

I love all these words because they show me that I am
making good decisions, but I must add some of the words
for change that I decided to discard today! haha
( the definitions are mine of course)

Tamper with - muck around with
Mutation - not part of what is considered normal
Evolve - makes me think I have no control over choices
Diminish - Make less
Flip flop - OH! What happened there?
Warp - Definitely odd.

See, We have a big part to play in how we let change
affect us. So, Whats on the Menu for Me for the
Weekend, Well I'm glad you asked.
Its Magazines, Movies (Gold Class @1pm), Massage,
PJ's, Choc, Chips, Wine and my beautiful girlfriend
is coming tonight with Thai takeaway.
Its a Beautiful Life!
